Kenny was out of town for work last Monday through Thursday, so it was just me and my two little boys on my birthday morning.
Nola came over around 11 to stay with the little one while Nopsi and I met Uncle Jeff for my birthday lunch at Sainte Marie downtown. Very cool place. The beef tartare was fantastic and our favorite thing we ordered. (Oh, and I wore my new scarf from Jenn and my 30th birthday pearls from Kenny to make myself feel extra special.)
I picked Riley up from school later that afternoon and we went to Whole Foods to get some fruit and a few birthday treats. Aunt Lizzie met us there and then came back to the house to hang with the boys and the birthday girl.
While we were playing upstairs in Riley’s room, Lizzie gave Rory one of Riley’s blocks and he immediately started gnawing drooling on it.
He was so cute that I took a little video. Please enjoy.
After the shenanigans upstairs, Lizzie helped me get the boys fed, bathed, and tucked into bed. Then we had dinner and watched her wedding video, which only took a year and a half for me to finally see it! It was so much fun reliving that night again. Great memories.
Towards the end of the night, we stuck a candle in my coconut custard tuille treat and called my birthday complete.
