On Sunday, February 28, family and friends gathered in Aunt E’s church for Luke’s baptism. The private ceremony was just like the one held for Kate back in September 2012. And, like his big sister, Luke wore the family christening gown, as well as an outfit of his daddy’s underneath. So special.
Godparents Jay and Jenn stood next to Erin and Jeff as Father Harry poured baptismal water over Luke’s head and rubbed sacramental oil on his forehead, while the rest of us looked on. I was SO proud of my boys’ behavior during the ceremony; they were SO good! And they looked really cute, too.
After the ceremony and pictures, everyone went back to Erin and Jeff’s house for a celebration. The adults ate and drank, and the kids ran around and jumped in Kate’s little bouncy house. It was a wonderful family afternoon.
Luke got a little outdone with being passed around, and he gave us lip at one point.
But then he was back to his smiling self once he was in his favorite position on someone’s lap.
May God bless you always, sweet boy. We love you!
