Last weekend was quite busy for us. Aunt Debbie was in town Tuesday to Saturday to help Grandma with some things, so the family all got together at our house on Friday for some crawfish. Yum!
It was great to see Deb, although we didn’t get much time with her this visit. She’s just going to have to come back, and bring the rest of her family.
The next day was Hayden’s birthday party at Ivanov’s gymnastics. The boys had so much fun; Riley even participated in the games!
The party was from 1:30-3 on Saturday afternoon; there wasn’t any time for naps that day. So we kept the fun going when we got back home: everyone changed clothes and headed to the sand pile, which had grown significantly since the last time we played on it. Aunt E even met us out there with Kate and Luke. It was a beautiful afternoon!
Sunday was Aunt Lizzie’s birthday, and she hosted a little open house birthday party in the hospital. We stopped by right before it was over, on account of the boys needing naps after their busy Saturday. Lizzie looked great, resting on a bed that was set up in one of the hospital conference rooms.
There was quite a spread of food set out, markers and paper for people to make signs for the birthday girl, and loose balloons scattered around the room. It was so nice to spend some time with her on her birthday. She’s still doing great. Hard to believe she has less than 4 weeks to go! Everyone cannot wait to meet the brownies.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
