Kate turned two on July 31, and Erin invited us over for dinner and cupcakes that night to celebrate. Riley was excited to get his very own cupcake alongside the birthday girl.
Then on Sunday, August 3, the day after Jacque and Scott’s wedding, Kenny and I packed up the boys and headed to Kel-Kel and Skeets’ house for Kate’s second birthday party.
Erin had planned everything around a pink and brown cowgirl theme, and she did such a great job. Every time I turned around I saw another cute decoration. But Kate was by far the cutest thing in the room that day. She looked so precious in her birthday tshirt, denim and bandanna skirt, and boots, the same outfit she wore in the pictures I took for her invitation.
Riley had so much fun, bouncing with the birthday girl, taking his turn hitting the piñata, and donning a mustache for some silly pictures.
Rory was a little under the weather but he had a good time walking all over and playing with whatever toys he could find. He’s my trooper!
After the piñata and playing a few of the games, everyone went back inside to sing to the birthday girl. She had quite the audience and seemed to love every second of the attention.
We stuck around to watch Kate open her presents, and she cleaned up, in much the same way that Riley did for his second birthday. She now has a big pile of new friends to play and sleep with!
Happy second birthday, sweet goddaughter…..
…..I’m so glad we got to celebrate with you!

A most excellent party for the cutest little girl ever.
I had a wonderful time watching my beautiful great grand children play and just to be able to be everyone. Hugs, Grams
