Ten Things

1. Some shenanigans before bedtime.

2. Whenever I have to wake Rory up from a nap, it usually takes him awhile to realize where he is and what’s going on. He’ll sit up, rub his eyes, and yawn a lot, blinking and trying to figure out what to do next. Too cute.

7. We went over to Nola and Nopsi’s for dinner one night and bathed Kate and Riley in their big shower. Since I didn’t have any clothes for him, Riley went home (and slept in) one of Nopsi’s polo shirts.

8. The scene below is highly unusual: when I get Rory up from a nap (after he rubs and blinks and yawns and figures out where he is), he does not want to cuddle with me. He wants to look around and decide what he wants to play with. So I cherished the few unusual minutes this day with my sweet boy.

9. Rory loves to suck on beer bottles these days (read: teething), and his daddy obliged him and his brother one night at dinner. Does Abita Strawberry count as a fruit?

  

10. The little one has been loving laying in Riley’s pile of stuffed animals and blankets in a corner of his room. And since we’ve been playing upstairs a lot these days, he has many chances to do so.

Sorry I have been MIA for a bit, but last weekend nearly did me in. We had an extremely full schedule, including multiple wedding related events for one of our best friends, a special birthday party, and an incredible concert. So get ready because lots of fun updates are coming your way!
