I had to hightail it home from the Bulldog after the race to shower and change. The kids’ annual Easter egg hunt was at 2pm that afternoon, at Kelli and Steve’s house. Bridget and Brian couldn’t make it this year, but the rest of us were there for our annual spring holiday gathering. And there were TONS of eggs for the kids to find; they had a blast and came home with lots of goodies.
We hung out at Kelli and Steve’s house all afternoon. The guys picked up boiled crawfish and shrimp for the adults and Popeyes chicken and biscuits for the kids. It was such a nice night; thanks for hosting Kelli and Steve!
The next morning, the boys woke up and hunted for their Easter baskets that the Easter bunny left for them to find. Then they sat on the couch in the breakfast area to see what he brought them.
The rest of our day was very low-key and quiet, which was great. Kenny made pancakes for breakfast, we played with Legos and trucks, and we went outside for a bit.
Around 5pm we went over to Nola and Nopsi’s for our normal Sunday dinner. They had given the kids their Easter gifts the weekend before, which were a big hit.
Nola had the table set so pretty and festive in honor of Easter. I added to the kids’ places with leftover bunny juice boxes and chick fruit cups from Rory’s school party.
We took some fun pics on the porch then went in to sit down to eat. Dinner was delicious: crockpot roast, rice with gravy, beer bread, and salad. YUM. After everyone finished dinner the kids each got to go on a mini egg hunt right on the dining room table. So fun!
Rory gave Jem some lovin’ after the mini hunt was over. I can’t believe Nola and Nopsi’s kitties are almost 16!
When Jem had had enough, Rory climbed up onto my lap and we took some silly selfies.
Riley didn’t want to be left out, so he joined us.
Love my goofy boys. Hope everyone had as happy an Easter as we did!
