Lately, Rory has only wanted to do one thing: walk.
Don’t get too excited; he’s not doing it all on his own. (Yet.) He has become obsessed with walking behind his musical push toy. All over the house. He basically does laps through the kitchen, dining room, and living room. If I try to get him interested in something else, he protests. Loudly.
What impresses me the most is what he does when he runs into something. I actually watched him bump the train table, stop, walk backwards a few steps, turn, and continue on like it was no big thing. So impressed. He navigates himself around the house very well with that thing. And he’s fast!
If we catch him in the right mood, he’ll take a few steps on his own toward someone. So he is making really good progress with putting those chubby legs of his to good use.
For now, he is loving the vantage point and the stability the push toy affords him. But he’s gonna be off and running before anyone knows it.
