Nola took me to Root for my birthday on Monday, and I was most excited about getting a particular dessert on their menu. (Although, my potato-chip encrusted fish sandwich with bitter greens and bread and butter pickles was mighty tasty.)
Called the Yorkie, the dessert boasts homemade cocoa puffs, minted milk, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and a homemade peppermint patty. It was very good, but I have to admit I felt like I was eating a bowl of cereal (albeit an incredibly rich one) for dessert, and that was a bit weird. But I am really glad I tried it. Thanks, Nola, for indulging me on my birthday.
