When the boys woke up on Easter morning, they discovered their baskets sitting in their blue chairs in the living room. Riley got a new Bionicle Lego set, Rory got a new fire truck, and they both got claw grabbers, bubbles, and candy.
Kenny made us pancakes and bacon for breakfast and we played around the house until we left for Aunt Jaimi and Uncle Steve’s house for an early afternoon Easter gathering. The weather was unfortunately rainy most of the way there.
Things did clear up long enough for us to have the egg hunt that Jaimi set up, though. However, Rory once again wanted nothing to do with the hunt. He’s such a party pooper. I did sneak a few eggs into his basket, and he and Riley sat at the table to check out what they got afterwards.
Jaimi also had supplies to make adorable Easter cars, but the boys were too busy playing trucks and Legos. So she and I sat down to create two of our own! We used Twinkies, mini sugar cookies, sour candies, white chocolate covered pretzels, Peeps, and icing. Aren’t they so cute??
We left Steve and Jaimi’s a little after 4 and headed to Nola and Nopsi’s house for a wonderful Easter Sunday dinner. Aunt E, Uncle Jeff, Kate, Luke, QP and James were already there, and the boys got lots of Easter goodies from everyone. And isn’t the table Nola set so pretty? It smelled really good, too.
We hope y’all had as good an Easter as we did.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
