1. We have a new kitchen island! Kenny found the pretty Ballard piece on Craigslist early last month. We both agree it could be a tad bit wider, but it was a steal and is working out great so far.
2. The four of us had our first family meal out at a restaurant last Sunday for lunch. This is the only picture I got as proof.
3. Nola pulled out Kate’s old jumpy seat one afternoon last week for Rory…..I do believe it’s time for us to set up our jumperoo at home!
4. Sleepin’ with my youngest boy…..
…..and him passed out on me one afternoon.
5. Grandma and I went to the American Idol Live Tour last Tuesday night at the UNO Lakefront Arena for her belated birthday present. It was a fun show. We both agreed that Angie gave the best performance, but Curtis and hometown boy Burnell were also great.
6. The boys and I went over to deliver Kate’s birthday present to her early last week; we got her a water table. Hopefully she likes playing with it as much as she enjoyed sitting on top of the box it came in.
Kate has also been loving her gift from Nola and Nopsi: a wagon. Even Rory got a turn in it while we were there!
7. I introduced Rory to Rowdy the other evening…..
…..but all he really wanted to do was eat his face.
8. Two Random Rory pics: small fry onesie and spoon occupation.
9. Riley and I did another fun experiment from Pinterest on Friday: we dropped vinegar tinted with food coloring into a dish of baking soda. It fizzed up in a neat reaction, but Riley had much more fun mashing his hands around in the goop.
10. We took a trip to Target later that same day to get Jack’s birthday present, and I decided to get some coffee. The nice barista at Starbucks gave Riley his own Frappucino, which, when combined with riding in the big part of the basket, made him a very happy boy.
I, on the other hand, worried that he wouldn’t nap that afternoon, but he did. For almost three hours.
I also let him pick out another potty truck at Target since he went four days straight without a single accident.
Sadly, that is not still the case, but he is ultimately doing a really good job with the potty. Kenny and I are proud of him!
