1. Riley’s workbench came with a little orange cell phone, so he has taken to calling his daddy every now and then. Too cute.
2. I made Riley stand by the front door before leaving for music with Grandma one Friday because he looked so handsome. Even with the Hot Wheels sticker he insisted on placing across the front of his shirt.
3. This is how the boy likes to eat breakfast these days: sitting on Mama’s lap. Even with the big belly, it actually works pretty well.
4. After dinner one night, Riley raced into the living room and decided to climb up onto one of the barstools. He was mighty proud of himself. (Please pardon the mess on the counter behind him.)
5. Riley’s giraffe and slinky “scarves”
6. Until recently, Riley has adamantly refused to go to sleep tucked under his sheets. However, even when he does acquiesce to the norm, he probably doesn’t stay under there for very long once Kenny or I have left the room. Oh, and he also likes to lay with his head at the foot of his bed as opposed to on his pillow. Wonk potatoes.
7. Showing off a new shirt passed down from his cousin Zac
8. And, last but not least, two rare Sleepy Bean pics: the first while sleeping over at Nola’s house in the big {king-sized} blue bed…..
…..and the second not thirty minutes after he went to sleep at the end of a very long day last Saturday (more details to come). Kenny went in to check on him after he had a bit of a coughing fit and said he barely moved a muscle, even after responding that he was okay. He was OUT.
