Nopsi helped Riley climb his first tree one afternoon a few weeks ago.
I admit I was torn throughout this milestone, between remaining behind the camera and rushing over to assist.
Don’t get me wrong: it’s not that I don’t trust my father with my son, because I totally do.
But my motherly, protective instinct did kick in a bit when Nopsi placed said son in the tree instead of just holding him up to a branch.
However, that didn’t stop me from continuing to take pictures.
I knew Nopsi was right there to catch the boy if he fell, which he didn’t.
And from looking at the smile that was clear as day on Riley’s face, something tells me this won’t be the last tree he climbs.
