School Days: Field Day

Friday, May 5 was the boys’ field day. It was Rory’s first time actually getting to participate, and he had so much fun. PK3 stayed back at their building at school while the older kids were bussed to Johnny Bright playground. It was another gorgeous day!

Kenny went to PK3 to be with Rory while I was at Bright with Riley. The little ones had a great time rotating through 6 stations: bowling, shaving cream play, kickball, parachute, hula hoops, and bean bag toss. Then they enjoyed a popsicle treat.

The older kids rotated through 7 stations at Bright: flag tag, ball toss, inflatable wrecking ball, inflatable obstacle course, tug of war, inflatable slide, and 50-yard dash. They also had a great time and got snoballs when they were finished all of their stations.

Kenny, Rory, Dana, and Colin showed up right as the big kids were finishing their snoballs. Everyone played together for a little while and then we all went our separate ways. It was such a fun morning and I’m so glad Kenny and I were both able to be with our two boys.

My day was just getting started, though. 2017 Jazz Fest recap coming up next!
