My 20-year high school reunion was on May 6 at the Cannery. I missed my 15-year on account of just having had Rory, so I was really excited about being able to go to this one. Even if it was at the end of a very long day.
Kenny and I met Ashley and Greg and Laurie and Anthony at Ralph’s on the Park for a bit of pre-reunion fun. We made friends with a few post-Jazz Festers, had a couple of appetizers, and some drinks. Then we made our way to the Cannery.
Kenny and I had never been to the Cannery before. It was a great venue for this event. Large main space and a smaller back room with a long bar. It easily held all of my classmates who were able to make it, and a good number of their husbands too.
I had such a great time catching up with girls I hadn’t seen in a very long time. I had many conversations with people who I never really talked to in high school, and it was so great to learn what they’ve been up to for 20 years.
And there was a photo booth!
Once they turned the lights on and kicked us out of the Cannery, a bunch of us decided we weren’t quite ready to end the night. So we ended up at F&M’s, where we descended upon a much younger crowd who didn’t know what to think about us taking over their bar. Too funny. But the cheese fries were delicious, the music was cranked up, and we had even more fun.
What a great night. Cheers to 20 years!

You look AWESOME!!! Some of the girls looked familiar to me; I'll have to ask you the next time I see you.
