We last took official family pictures two years ago, so I decided it was time to book another session with Elizabeth. We met up with her on a dreary Sunday morning, the day after our crawfish boil. I was hesitant to take pictures after such a busy day, but the temperature was forecasted to be cool and the session was only an hour, so Elizabeth convinced me to just do it. And I’m so glad I did.
The rain was supposed to move completely out of the area well before our session, but it hung around longer than expected. We pushed the start time back a bit, but it was still drizzling when we got to our location. I asked Elizabeth to take our pictures this time in Crescent Park, which she had never been to before. She ended up loving it so much that we were with her for almost two hours instead of one! And the weather ultimately ended up cooperating; it was drizzly and windy at first, but it eventually cleared out and dried up but stayed overcast. Perfect!
We did a lot of walking that day, exploring the many different areas of the park. I wasn’t feeling the greatest, and it actually turned out that I had bronchitis and a sinus infection. But I powered through, and Elizabeth got some really great shots. She even threw in one funny candid. I love everything about it!
We decided to bring Rory’s green dump truck with us, since I knew he would probably pitch a fit if we didn’t have it. And I like that Elizabeth captured him with it; that truck has been a big part of his life!
Riley of course found sticks and rocks to carry around, and he also picked flowers for me and Elizabeth. So sweet.
Elizabeth also made sure to take some shots of just me and Kenny. Love these!
Some of my favorites were taken once we got into the gardens. Lots of flowers were in bloom and it was just so pretty!
The sun actually came out right as we were finishing up. Also, I apparently need to work on my jumping skills. Although, I was very aware of the fact that I had a dress on!
I’m so happy with the way the pictures came out. And Elizabeth gave us lots more than she usually does since she was with us for extra time. Lucky us!
Thanks so much for being so easy to work with, Elizabeth. And thanks to my three boys for enduring these photo sessions. I so appreciate all of you!

These are all spectacular. I can't pick! I want them ALL.
You've got a keeper in Elizabeth, for sure. Those are gorgeous photos.
