Last weekend was a family-filled one for us. All of Nola’s siblings and their families were in town to celebrate two special occasions. That meant Rory got to meet AD#1, Cub, Car, Aunt Elena, Uncle Bill, Tommy, and Billy.
The first event we got together to celebrate was Bop’s 93rd birthday on Friday. Nola and Nopsi hosted everyone at their house for a delicious pot roast and seafood gumbo dinner. There was carrot cake for dessert at the birthday boy’s request, as well as a special gift for him entitled “93 Reasons We Love Bill.”
Then on Saturday night we all gathered together again, this time at Austin’s restaurant, to celebrate Grams and Bop’s 50th wedding anniversary. We had our own private room, and it was such a fun night. The food was amazing, our photo gifts to the happy couple were well received, Rory was passed from person to person, Riley and Kate got to watch Mickey on Nopsi’s phone, and I even accomplished my first public feeding. A successful evening on all accounts!
A very Happy Birthday to Bop and a very Happy Anniversary to Grams and Bop. We’re so glad we could honor you both this past weekend, and we hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did. We love you!
