So…..I had my whole blogging schedule mapped out for last week, but I had to adjust it after losing one of my videos. Something went wrong with the original writing of the file to my memory card, and, long story short, I have the file but it is corrupted and not playable.
It was a really cute video, too, of Riley being absolutely crazy and cracking himself up (and making a HUGE mess) while eating his yogurt one day two weekends ago. I have hope that Kenny can somehow work a technological miracle and restore the file to me, but I’m not sure that’s possible.
Oh, well; c’est la vie.
I am trying not to think about it while also giving thanks that it wasn’t a huge milestone that got ruined. So, in the meantime, here is this week’s video, along with some pictures.
Uncle Jeff and Aunt Erin brought Doug over to play one afternoon a few weekends ago, and Riley was much more interested in his books than the puppy dog.
Maybe this kid truly will love to read…..
Then Riley had to “help” Uncle Jeff build a really tall tower out of his blocks. Jeff was using all of his strength to keep the blocks from shifting as Riley pulled with all of his might to get one out of the stack. Jeff finally gave up and let Riley crash them all to the ground.
Then Riley found one of his hats that is a couple of sizes too small for his head, and Kenny decided to cram it on there anyway. Riley rolled his head around, trying to get the hat off, but it was on there too good to budge.
Don’t worry, though: the indentation on his forehead from the too-tight hat only lasted for a few hours.
Enjoy this peek into our afternoon. Aunt Erin tried her best to get Riley to walk to Kenny, but alas, the child did not comply.
I don’t know why, though. She offered him a block and everything.
Happy Monday!

Riley is almost ready to walk and I bet he will before his birthday. Hugs, Grams
I _LOVED_ the soundtrack Jeff's created in the background as he carefully balanced along that treacherous dresser...
LOVE, lizzie
I think Uncle Jefferson and Aunt E really, really like Riley!
And, I am pulling for Kenny to be able to salvage the cracked-up Riley vid, Go, Kenny!!
Hmmm...Was that a little Doug jealously I saw when he jumped onto the chair!? On the other hand, he looked like he was doing great with Riley! I want to come back over and play!!!
