Last weekend was Jack’s first birthday party, and all three of us attended. Jack is only 3.5 weeks older than Riley, so I was glad for the chance to see another first birthday party in action. Kelli and Steve did such a great job, and I came away with lots of notes for Riley’s party in a few weeks.
The theme was a carnival celebration, complete with games, prizes, homemade funnel cakes, and Plum Street snoballs. Kelli and Steve really went all out, and it showed in such a fun way.
The birthday cake was so precious, with designs of cotton candy, popcorn, and snoballs scattered around it, and topped off with a special, personalized big top tent just for the birthday boy. Too bad Jack didn’t want much to do with his cake….he preferred plain ol’ vanilla ice cream instead. Oh, well. It was his day; he could do whatever he wanted!
Happy Birthday, Jack! Thanks for letting us come to your fun carnival party. We sure hope you enjoyed your special day. :)
