KooKoo Bird and Raised Right

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit last Friday, and they brought a friend along: KooKoo bird!

Riley acquired KooKoo bird when he stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Kenny and I were in Sonoma last month. He apparently picked him out himself and slept with him every night in his crib. After much debate, Grandma decided KooKoo bird would live at her house but would try to visit Riley as often as he could.

Riley was very excited to see KooKoo bird (and Grandma and Grandpa, too!) and almost immediately wanted to bring him to one of his new favorite spots: underneath the desk in the kitchen.

It was so cute to watch: Riley grabbed KooKoo bird, shoved him into the tiny space, and then tried to climb in there with him. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I intervened and helped both of them fit next to each other. 

  

I also wanted to point out Riley’s shirt (thanks, Josh and Amy!): we are definitely raising him right. Bring on some Tigers football, please! Hopefully Riley will be awake for a few of the games this season instead of sleeping through them.

Do we really have to wait another two and a half weeks???
