I neglected to mention before that a pipe under the guest bathroom sink - located between Bean's room and the guest room - busted and left standing water in the cabinet underneath the last night my mom was here at the end of July. (So yes, now we need to replace the faucet setup as well. Fun.) However, for that to have been the cause of the wet area in the nursery, the water would have had to have taken a pretty crazy path because no part of the bathroom floor was even a little damp. I know water has a mind of its own and goes where it wants, but Kenny really didn't think the two were related at first.
But now since the A/C line doesn't seem to be the culprit, the busted pipe may be the only other likely explanation. Right? Maybe? Hopefully so?
At this point, who knows. I'm just trying to stay calm, put my trust in my husband, and hope that by redoing the line in the attic and eventually replacing the bathroom faucet we'll have eliminated all leak issues in that area of the house.
If it's something else entirely, God help us!
