Easter this year fell on April 1. A few parents we know totally pranked their kids and filled their Easter baskets with cleaning supplies, paper products, and the like, but Kenny and I chose not to even acknowledge April Fool’s with our two. I think if they had been a little older we would have done something though!
The bunny hid the boys’ baskets, which they found very early that morning. They each got a book, bubble bath, candy, a Tangle toy, and a dozen confetti eggs.
After they went through their baskets and had breakfast, we went outside to have some fun with the confetti eggs and the spray chalk from Nola, who gave them their baskets from her and Nopsi the weekend before. The boys also played in the sandbox and went down to the neighborhood playground for a bit before lunch. Rory came back sporting a special flower necklace that his daddy made for him.
We went to Nola and Nopsi’s for our usual Sunday dinner. It was an absolutely gorgeous day out and we spent most of it outside. We ate on the porch and the kids enjoyed a mini egg hunt after they finished their dinners. Such a nice Easter Sunday!
Recap of Riley’s last {and most awesome} field trip of the year coming up next!
