The boys’ last day of school before Christmas break was last Tuesday, December 20. We went to mass at 8:15, followed by the school Christmas play (the one Riley was in last year), and then their individual class parties. It was a crazy day to say the least, but it always is and they love it.
After mass and the play, Riley decided that he wanted to come to Rory’s party before going to his classroom, so we did PK3 first. Dana and I got donut holes, mini frosted sugar cookies, grapes, and strawberries for the kids to have. And Santa even stopped by to say hi!
Rory did a great job passing out his presents to Ms. Lisa, Mrs. Claire, and Mary Jane. He was so cute and excited about it!
After that we went to Riley’s classroom. He unfortunately missed out on the photo booth with his friends and the games, but he didn’t care. He was so happy to see Mrs. Smith and give her his present. He even made her open it right then and there. Wonk potatoes. (We gave their teachers the same thing that we did last year: a “cozy little Christmas” box with warm socks, R+F lip shield, packets of hot chocolate mix, Ghirardelli chocolates, and cookies.)
Once we were done in Riley’s room, we delivered cookies to Mrs. Platner, Mrs. Tanner, and Mrs. Macaluso across the hall and then to Mrs. Jean and Ms. Milene in the gym and then we headed out. We met up with lots of school friends at Chick-Fil-A for lunch, where they were handing out big stuffed cows to all of the kids. So unexpected and nice. The kids had a great time as always.
And since I didn’t manage to get any pictures of Rory in his cute shirt (which we did for the PK3 Christmas art project), I made him stand by our tree when we got home and pose. I love how their shirts came out; so freaking cute.
Lots more Christmas recaps coming up, including our SCR kids’ Christmas party, Lafreniere lights, and the Rib Room Christmas lunch. Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday!
