Last Wednesday night, we took the boys for a walk around the neighborhood to see Christmas lights. We did the same thing last year and it turns out that they really liked it because they asked to do it again. However, it wasn’t as cold as it looks in the pictures; the boys got chilled because they were drinking smoothies for dinner on our walk!
The next day we hosted a little Christmas gathering for Dana, Claire, Colin, Diana, and Alcee. They came over around 3 that afternoon and played for a couple of hours. We all exchanged gifts, had dinner, and then took a field trip to see even more Christmas lights.
We went to Lafreniere Park, which has a wonderful light display. All of the kids piled into Diana’s car for the driving part; they loved being together.
After that, we parked and got out to do the walking part. All of the adults loved that the kids were easy to spot because of their lightbulb necklaces, which was part of my gift to them. We got so many compliments on those! And everyone loved dancing around in the big open pavilion to the music being played back there, and this year there was even fake snow! The kids had such a great time playing in it.
Such a fun and festive two nights!
