Since the weather has been so beautiful here lately, I decided to take the boys to another pumpkin patch after school on Tuesday. Dana and Claire met us there, as did Aunt E and Kate a bit later.
We’ve frequented this particular patch for a few years now. Remember when Riley had so much fun running through the rows? That was three years ago.
Kate’s first trip here was two years ago. This time, all she wanted to do was follow her older cousin around and try to pick up pumpkins practically as big as she.
And remember Rory’s first visit to this patch last year? My goodness, he was little. Now he can run right alongside his brother.
After the kids ran around for a while and had a snack, Riley, Kate, and Claire each picked out a small pumpkin to decorate. They suckered their moms into buying a sheet of stickers to do so and also pilfered some leftover glitter from tables still set up from weekend events. Riley’s pumpkin proudly sits on our kitchen counter.
Such a fun way to spend an October afternoon. Even if it was 76 degrees outside.
