Riley loves his new wagon.
Let me repeat that: Riley all-caps-italic-and-bold LOVES his new wagon.
And, knowing that, his dad and I didn’t let a little ole tropical storm named Lee stop us from taking our boy out in his new ride over the holiday weekend.
It was actually Kenny’s idea to take him out in the rain, which he justified by confirming that Riley’s bath time was next so why not? I couldn’t do anything but agree. And we had so much fun.
All three of us.
But then Kenny took Riley out of his wagon and stood him in the little river of water near the curb.
Then the father just plopped the son right on his booty in said water.
Then Riley was like, “I’m outta here, Dad!” and took off.
On all fours, yes, but impressively keeping his knees protected.
But then Riley decided he needed to turn around….
….and come find his mama.
It’s okay, Riley-bean: a damp booty was a small price to pay for frolicking in the rain with your crazy parents.
Once the rain finally stopped, Riley and I continued our frequent wagon rides, only in sunnier (and cooler!) weather. On one such occasion last week, he looked so cute sitting there in his custom starfish onesie (thanks, QP!) with blue jeans and bare feet that I just had to snap some pictures of him.
Too bad he refused to wear his sunglasses; they would have made him look even cuter than he already is.
Then again, maybe not.
Thanks to Nopsi for the use of your camera and to Grandma and Grandpa for the wagon!

That child does look adorable in that starfish top if I do say so myself. And I'm waiting for the day when the tables are turned and he is pulling his QP in that wagon. Boy, will those cup holders come in handy THEN.
OMG, I LOVE these pictures. He is THE cutest child...and YOU are such good parents to give him the always fabulous experience of playing in the rain. Get ready for 10 years hence when he's out there riding his bike through knee-deep water.
I am SO glad Cheryl and Don gave him the wagon. It's SO much better than the stroller for walks. Can't wait to take him myself.
This might be the cutest post you've ever done. And there's a lot of competition for that title, but I hand it to this one. I literally LOL'd!
Such a lot of fun.. Wonderful parents acting like children which I have to say is great. Hugs, Grams
So fun! I can't remember the last time we had rain so I am pretty jealous of your rain pics! When it finally rains, I promise that we will be out there playing in the rain too!!! My mom got to meet sweet Riley on her walk the other day (he was with QP)...she said he was just so precious!
