My apologies for not posting anything since July 17. It really wasn’t my intention to take a week off, but somehow things just worked out that way. And it was actually kind of nice not to think about blogging for a whole 7 days.
But now I’m back with lots of things to write about!
We went to Grant’s 7th birthday party at Sector 6 a couple of weekends ago. Everyone had a great time running and jumping and bouncing. Happy Birthday, Grant!
And I’m sure everyone will be happy to know that Riley’s Lego Star Wars obsession continues. It had better since that’s what the entirety of his fifth birthday (from his party to his presents) will revolve around.
He recently made QP go through every. single. page. of his Lego Star Wars encyclopedia. And you see those green and blue tabs sticking out of the top of the book? Those are marking the pages of the characters he wants, green for really, really wants and blue for just wants. (I am happy to report that he will be getting quite a few of those for his birthday. But shhhh; don’t tell him.)
While I do get bored with him always wanting me to play Legos with him (can’t we do something else for a change?!?), it is fascinating to watch him create in his own little world he’s carved out of a corner in his room. (Notice the castle and the construction site are blocking his brother from entering said world.)
On a recent trip to the grocery store, we discovered a fun surprise in the pasta aisle. I’m hoping that as it gets closer and closer to the release date of the next movie, Star Wars stuff will abound everywhere.
I’m currently living with Mickey Mouse and Darth Vader…..
…..what could go wrong???
