QP and James made their relationship official and got married in Australia on April 11.
Since our family couldn’t all travel that far to be there, Nola hosted a dinner in the newlyweds’ honor at her house on April 23. Doesn’t everything look so pretty? Nola even used Grams’ table linens.
A friend of the bride and groom just so happens to be an officiant, so he helped to recreate the ceremony in the backyard by the pool. It was small and intimate, and quite special. We got to hear the couple’s vows, which were personal, heartfelt, and sweet.
Once QP and James had been pronounced (again!), the ceremony adjourned and we moved on to the next part of the evening: celebrating! We had drinks and appetizers by the pool, everyone enjoying the nice evening and chatting before going onto the back porch for dinner.
Nola and Nopsi outdid themselves with dinner; everything was so incredibly good. The three kids were at home with Grandma and Kel-Kel, so the adults all enjoyed a really nice evening. Aunt Dawn, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Elena were there, as was James’s sister Shannon.
After dinner and dessert, we moved inside to look at the pictures from QP and James’s epic trip to Singapore, Cambodia, and Australia. Such amazing sights they saw.
Then we took this picture:
I’m still not sure why we did that, but I like it.
Congratulations to you both, QP and James!

Thank you, sweet! I am honored to be co-starring in the blog today! It was, indeed, a great evening. Thanks to all of you. (Sorry James hasn't emailed you his pictures from the evening, yet!)
How fun! Congrats to QP and James! What a nice way to celebrate! ~Jackie
