I woke up yesterday morning to a wonk potatoes jumping on me and wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day, to the little one crawling all over me and babbling, and to a very yummy smell. My boys had been hard at work to make me feel special on my special day. They let me sleep in and made me a card. Riley picked out flowers for me, and Kenny whipped up some French toast for breakfast. It was a really nice morning.
Riley also made a few things for me at school last week. Very sweet.
Uncle Jeff and Aunt E were gracious enough to host brunch yesterday at their house. Nola and Nopsi, Kel-Kel and Skeets, Aunt E’s grandmother Mami, and Aunt E’s brother Stephen and his girlfriend Lindsey were also there. The guys cooked all of the food, and everything was so incredibly good. Well done, boys!
The kids had a great time playing together all afternoon. They were outside most of the day, taking turns riding in Kate’s pink car, jumping in the bouncy house, drawing with chalk, and all piling into the wagon.
Trying to get these three together for a picture is proving to be more of a challenge with each passing day. The big one is pretty good about sitting where I tell him to, but getting the other two to sit still long enough and having all of them looking at the camera at the same time is virtually impossible. Oh well; it’s always fun to try!
One thing I do know is that I am so blessed to be a mom to my two boys. They challenge me, they inspire me, they try my patience, they amaze me, and they make me better. Every day.
And most of all, thank you to my husband for sticking close to my side during this journey called parenthood. I couldn’t do it without you!

Great post, especially great pics, C! You ARE the best mama! (I especially like Riley's "she lets me watch Star Wars"! haha)
Love you baby. Happy to be by your side in this journey and couldn't have asked for a better mama for our 2 boys!!
