Pensacola 2014: Colors of the Sun

As I mentioned yesterday, evenings were some of my favorite times while we were at the beach. Everyone was fresh and clean, my glass was usually filled with a margarita, and the sunsets were amazing most nights.

We really lucked out with weather that week. We didn’t have much rain at all, except for a couple of afternoon showers. One storm was really neat looking as it approached from across the sound.

Because of the nice weather, days were sunny and breezy and nights were very comfortable. As such, once the kids were in bed, the six of us ate dinner outside every night watching the sun go down. So pretty.

However, the sunrises were even better. Unfortunately for him, Kenny was up before the sun most mornings. Why, you ask? Oh, simply because Rory decided to start his day at 5am or earlier. The kid obviously didn’t get the memo that were ON VACATION. But his early rising meant that he got to see some incredible sunrises with his Daddy.

This particular morning was my absolute favorite. All of these shots are straight out of the camera with no editing whatsoever. Amazing, huh? I almost wished Kenny had woken me up to see it in person. Almost.

Sunrises just aren’t the same now that we’re back home. However, we haven’t see too many of them because Rory hasn’t been waking up quite as early lately

Thank goodness.

I’ll be back with more beach vacation recaps on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend, y’all!
