On a trip to Old Navy last month, I found a cute but simple Captain America t-shirt for Riley to wear for the Fourth of July this year. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one in Rory’s size, but I remedied that by ordering another online. Each was paired with plaid shorts, and my two boys looked so cute last Friday.
Old Navy also happened to have the same design in a men’s size, so I decided to get Kenny one of those so he could match his boys. Sweet husband that he is, he went along with it without any complaints.
Trying to get the two littlest Captains together for a picture, however, was a comedy of errors. Is it really that difficult to look at a camera at the same time and smile for two seconds straight so I can get a decent shot?
Yes. Yes it is.
Nola and Nopsi always throw a big party at their house for the Fourth, so we went over there in the afternoon. Rory was tired and went down for a nap shortly after we got there, but Riley and Kate got in the pool with their daddies and had a grand time.
And the three Captains got lots of compliments on their shirts. Although someone did ask me where mine was. Oops.
Hoping everyone had a super fun Fourth of July holiday weekend….. ‘Merica. It sure is a good place to call home.

So much fun having little ones at the annual bash again. And those shirts were definitely a hit, as was Kate's dress!
