Captain Nopsi

Nopsi has been shopping for a boat on and off for many, many years. Last month, he finally bought one. And on Labor Day, after some minor mechanical setbacks that delayed us for a couple of hours…..

…..he took it out for the first time.

And he had company: Uncle Jeff, Aunt E, Kenny, Riley, and I went with him for a short ride to test it out. (Nola graciously offered to stay home with the two littlest ones while we went. Kate was apparently not happy with Rory being in her jumpy seat; love the expression Nola captured.)

It was a gorgeous day to be on the water. And, it was Riley’s very first boat ride!

When we got back to the dock, Riley was rockin’ some awesome windblown hair. He rode in my lap on the way out and in Kenny’s on the way back and thoroughly enjoyed being on Nopsi’s new boat. He didn’t even mind the rule that he had to wear a lifejacket the entire time we were underway.

Congrats on your new title, Captain Nopsi. We’re looking forward to many more fun boat rides with you!

Now we just need to come up with a name for your new toy…..
