After his party, most of our fam came back to our house so Riley could open his presents. He spotted them under the table at the bounce place right away, and he waited very patiently until we got back home to tear into them.
And I do mean tear into them.
From start to finish, it probably took Riley less than 5 minutes to open every single one of his gifts. Granted, most of them were easily accessible in bags, but still. That’s got to be some kind of record. Aunt Lizzie sure was impressed.
Since she saw him on Thursday because he was home sick, QP gave Riley his present from her and UJ then. It’s a set of {really cool magnetic} trucks.
Nola and Nopsi gave Riley their gift on his actual birthday. It’s also a truck, accompanied by a whole construction site.
One thing is crystal clear: this child loves trucks. He is obsessed with trucks. And, with a few exceptions, that’s pretty much all he got for his third birthday.
Every time he opened a new one, he got more and more excited. And now he never knows which ones to play with first. (I took advantage and cleaned out a lot of his older trucks and other toys, slightly de-cluttering my living room in the process. But only slightly.)
So now my house is filled with trucks.
All the trucks.
I repeat: All. The. Trucks.
