It was a fairly quiet week for Kenny and I (although we did have Reyna, Matt, and Natalya over to our house for dinner on Wednesday night…..great to see you guys - no pics, though!), hence the lack of posting on my part. We also had no set plans this weekend, and I know I’ve said it before, but it was really nice to spend the past few days at home! We did get a number of things done around the house, but it was in a very relaxed manner.
Most of the activity of course had to do with Bean’s room. Ken put together a few of our bigger registry items over the course of a few evenings last week, and this weekend we got a few things hung up on the walls of the nursery. I also came up with a cute project for all of those rubber duckies leftover from my shower, but I can’t start on it until we know which name we’re going to use! One thing’s for sure, the nursery is looking mighty cute!
Kenny also brewed two more batches of beer this weekend, another round of the Fat Tire clone (popular at our crawfish boil) and a new Belgian blonde. The two are currently fermenting and bubbling away in the back bathtub. And Ken also has the ingredients for a breakfast stout that I picked out, which we figure I’ll be able to drink some of this winter. He’ll most likely brew that one once these two are finished and kegged.
And, last but not least, after watching the USA unfortunately lose to Ghana in their final World Cup match, the two of us got out of the house for a fun date night on Saturday. We went to see a late afternoon showing of The Prince of Persia, which we both enjoyed, and then we grabbed a decent Mexican dinner at La Hacienda on the way home. Thanks for the quality time, Baby! We might have to go out for date nights a few more times while we can before Bean arrives. :)

Love the nursery! Can't wait to see it "in person".
