School Days: Fall Pep Rally

SCR hosted their fall pep rally on Halloween afternoon. I managed to make it there just in time: Rory was picked to play one of the games!

The cheerleading camp kids performed first. Myril, Alcee, Maddie, Claire, and Ansleigh all participated and did great.

Then it was the scream-off to see which classes would win the two spirit sticks. Man, that was a loud few minutes.

After that it was time for the games. The teachers went first, in pairs, and tried to make the best toilet paper mummy. Too funny. Then some kids (including Brennan) attempted to carry a little pumpkin between their knees and drop it into a hula hoop on the ground in a relay race. Hysterical.

Then it was Rory’s game. He and his teammates had to stack orange plastic cups as high as they could. They did a great job (with help from Ms. Milene) and came in second place. I also noticed that Rory stood back at times to evaluate and inspect the work being done by everyone else. My sweet little supervisor!

Last Dr. Speeg announced the spirit stick winners. Third grade won for the lower grades! They were so excited.

I’m glad I was there to get pics, but I can’t say I’m chomping at the bit to go again anytime soon. Those kids are crazy.

Then again, it could have been because of Halloween. Who knows.
