This year’s Boo Bash was held the Saturday before Halloween. It was awesome not to have to rush around after school and instead have all day to relax before getting ready for the parking lot party. Riley dressed up as the Grim Reaper this year, and Rory was a skeleton again. Strange to see them both in masks, although they did not wear them much at all.
We shared space with the same 4 families as last year. Dana and Heidi came up with the idea of decorating our booth with a Saints theme, complete with a second-lining Tom Benson (who was a great photo op all night long) and tombstones of the teams we beat this season. It was all thrown together in about a week and it came out looking so great.
The kids, as usual, had an absolute blast for three straight hours. They’re at the ages now when they can go off by themselves, and we don’t have to worry about them. We simply told them to stay inside the parking lot and check in every now and then. Winning.
Rory did want to go trick-or-treating a couple of times, so Kenny and I walked around the lot with him while he racked up lots of candy. We also got to see the award-winning pumpkin, carved by Cole and MJ’s dad Gary.
And check out who won the booth contest……
…..WE DID! After missing out on the fair booth win last year, Heidi and Dana were SO excited to win something. And everyone said we totally deserved it.
Such a fun night all around. We love Boo Bash!
