We were blessed with incredible weather the rest of the boys’ Mardi Gras vacation, which meant we spent much of it playing outside. We also took a trip to the library, where the boys each picked out 4 books and did some coloring.
Kate and Luke came over to play on Thursday afternoon, and the four cousins had a great time in our backyard.
The next day the boys and I took a morning walk and then met Kenny for lunch at Willie Mae’s Scotch House. I had been wanting to try their fried chicken for a while, and I finally got to. (My consensus? Popeyes is better.) We went back home after lunch, and I let Rory skip his nap because it was just so pretty outside.
Then Rory’s school friend Brennan had his birthday party on Sunday afternoon so Rory was able to play at his house for a couple of hours. Colin, Cooper, and Reagan were also there, and they all had such a great time seeing each other outside of school.
What a fun week. I’m really going to miss this nice weather come summer!
