School Days: Polar Express Day

On December 10, SCR hosted a school-wide Polar Express day. It was such a fun day filled with lots of treats and special activities. Everyone got to wear pajamas. All students were treated to hot chocolate with marshmallows and candy canes, and they got reindeer antlers, a Christmas ornament craft, and a Christmas cookie to decorate. The younger grades (PK - 2) also enjoyed a train ride. Most classes watched the movie at some point, and we ended the day with a Christmas pep rally. SO. MUCH. FUN!!!

In fact, I was having such a good time helping get the littles settled on the train that I was late for one of my classes! But then the timing worked out perfectly for me to hop on with Rory when it was his class's turn to ride.

The 5th grade room moms treated the kids to a pizza lunch that day, which they loved. And 5th grade actually won the spirit stick at the pep rally: they held onto their spider costumes we had put together for the Halloween pep rally (which was cancelled because of Hurricane Marco) and transformed into the Spiders That Stole Christmas. So creative.

Lots more Christmasy things coming up!
