The boys get a little bored at the beginning because they have no interest in the marching groups. But they created their own fun in the back with stray beads and a few trucks. And I saw Thomas Morstead and Scott, Sean, and Stefan.
They did eventually come up front when the floats got to us; they love seeing what food they can catch. And we of course saw all of our friends on their float; they looked like they were having a fun time. We also saw Steve's mom and sister, who were riding for their first year. It was a great day!
Sunday was the Metairie Road parade, which we had not planned to go to. But Claire and Colin were riding again, and the boys decided they wanted to go out to see them. The whole group ended up getting together near Gennaro's, and the kids had such fun together.
We had to cross the street to see Claire, who was riding on her actual birthday. She spotted us and threw us nothing. All she did was paste a huge smile on her face and wave. It was so cute; she was so excited to see us! We also saw Lynn, who did the best thing ever and gave us a pineapple.
We went home with so many veggies and fruits; it was awesome. Rory snacked on carrots for two straight days; he was in heaven. Gotta love stocking the pantry with St. Patty's Day throws!

Imagine kids in other states/cities who DON'T get to go to crazy parades several times a year! Nope, can't imagine.
