After a successful first communion at school, we went to Uncle Jeff’s house to change clothes and then we were off again. Aunt E was up in New York for a super quick girls weekend and Nola and Nopsi were drinking wine in Sonoma, so the rest of us decided it was the perfect afternoon to spend at Urban South Brewery.
Kenny and I had never been before, so we were excited to finally go check it out. It’s a huge warehouse space, complete with lots of picnic tables, arcade games, a rack full of board games, and even a few toys. We brought plenty of snacks and drinks for the kids, and they entertained themselves fairly well. And we discovered Lizzie’s brother Alex working behind the bar. It was a great afternoon!
The seven of us got together again the next afternoon, this time at the Blind Tiger in Slidell. Kel-Kel and Skeets came to meet us too. It was another beautiful day. The kids had a great time playing in the sand, and we all enjoyed a relaxed dinner.
I’m definitely not ready for summer yet, but it was nice to anticipate our upcoming beach vacations. Only two more weeks until both boys are done with school!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
