The day after I got back from Vegas, I went with Riley and his class on their field trip to the Insectarium. It was SUPER cold out, so I was glad we were going somewhere inside. If not, they probably would have had to cancel.
Riley stuck pretty close to me the whole time we were there. Sadly, there was not a hickory horned devil caterpillar for him to see, but we saw some cool bugs anyway.
We even tasted cricket chocolate chip cookies. Riley didn’t want to at first, but he ended up liking it so much he went back for seconds!
The butterfly garden is still my favorite. And Riley ended up coming home with two new snakes, one for him and one for Rory. He enjoyed scaring poor Ms. Paulin with them.
Such a fun time away from school!
