1. Sleepy Sprouts and Beans!
2. These two sure did have a great Christmas. Rory loves his train set, trucks, and V-Tech reader, and Riley is almost finished building ALL of the Lego sets he got. And they’ve already asked to go spend all of the Toys ‘R Us gift cards they got.
3. We had a Run Disney meeting at Lager’s on December 27 to discuss details with Jeff and Doug, who have both done Disney races before. I cannot believe the race is this weekend! Please say a little prayer that the weather at Disney cooperates; I would really prefer not running in the pouring rain.
4. Riley spiked a fever randomly one evening last week and slept for more than 12 hours that night. No idea what it was, but it took him a couple of days to bounce back.
5. Rory finally agreed to take a break from Wall-E (with which he is obsessed) and watch Finding Dory but he had to go upstairs and get all of his friends to watch with him. So stinking cute.
6. Nola and Nopsi and 9 of their friends got together for dinner at Commander’s Palace in their private wine room on December 30. It’s kind of like a bigger Chef’s table experience, only not in the actual kitchen. And lucky, lucky me: they had one extra seat and invited me to join them. Kenny sweetly agreed to stay with the boys while I went to be wined and dined. It was all so good!
7. We went to our annual house party at Brian and Bridget’s for New Year’s Eve. The boys came with us but we actually brought them back home around 10pm, put them in bed, and then went back to the party since AD#1 was here to stay with them. (Thanks so much for that!) Nothing like ringing in another year on a really rainy night with good friends, a boatload of fireworks, and shots of maple Crown Royal with honey-baked ham. Happy 2017, y’all!
8. My three crazy boys after Sunday dinner at Nola and Nopsi’s and the two little ones eating their {old and stale} gingerbread houses for treat the next night.
9. Kenny snaps pictures of sunsets he thinks I would like, even if he happens to be driving across the Huey P. Long bridge on his way home from work. This was a pretty one. And I kinda like the fact that most of these are blurry.
10. I keep forgetting to post these certificates Riley has gotten over the past few months at WMA, but I finally remembered. We are so proud of him!
