A couple of Sundays ago we braved the {insane} morning heat and took the kids outside to play. We decided to break out the giga ball that Riley got for Christmas. Kenny actually tried for months to exchange it but no such luck. Why did he want to exchange it, you ask?
That’s why. It’s a huge, bright pink and purple, inflatable, soccer-looking ball. That the boys can roll around in. Super fun, yes, but not exactly the right color. However, Kenny could not find it in another color, so we just went with it!
Riley wasted no time and climbed right in. He loved rolling around the backyard, with Kenny’s help. He didn’t even seem to mind the sun beating down on us, even though Kenny and I were worried it would be too hot inside the ball. But it was all smiles from my oldest boy.
Rory was a different story. He didn’t want to get inside the ball at first, but I plopped him in there and crossed my fingers. It wasn’t long before he and Riley were rolling around together, laughing and smiling and having a great time.
When the boys tired of the giga ball (and after Riley got past a little meltdown), they moved on to playing with the hose. It was a great way for them to cool off before we went in for lunch.
Sunday Fun-day at its finest!
