I left Riley in school on the day of Grams’ memorial services, but Rory had to come with us. Kenny took him upstairs to the balcony when everything got started, but he loved walking around the altar beforehand. Lots of little steps for him to climb.
Afterwards, the family went out to lunch at Heritage Grill, to indulge in 10¢ martinis as Grams would have wanted. It was here that Rory had his first taste of lemon. Please enjoy.

Hi, Daddy. What’s happening?
Hi, Mama. Whatcha just give me?
Okay, I’ll give it a taste.
Mmmm, pretty good!
OH MY GOSH, NO! WHAT DID YOU GIVE ME???
On second thought, that wasn’t so bad.
I’m going to give it another try.
WHY AREN’T YOU STOPPING ME, WOMAN???
I think this may border on child abuse, Mama.
So I think I’m just gonna stick with my spoon from here on out. That’ll show you.
Wait, what? You took a video of the whole thing? And you think everyone wants to see this in action? Seriously?
I suppose, if you must, go ahead and show them. But I ‘m not gonna watch.

Good stuff, huh? Nola and I did the same thing to Riley when he was fourteen months old, only he seemed to really like the tart taste.
Happy Monday!

Sweet, sweet Rory. I notice you kept the martini olives for yourself!
