School Days: PK4 Mystery Reader, Pumpkin Carver, and Woodworking with Dads

I signed up to be the October mystery reader for PK4, and the chosen date was October 19. I borrowed Grandma’s witch hat, Dana’s spiderweb cape, Nola’s candy corn scarf, and dressed up in a Halloween concoction to read Creepy Carrots and Five Little Pumpkins. Rory was not expecting me at all; it was so fun surprising him!

I gave all of the kids springy spiders and Halloween slap bracelets. They loved their prizes and immediately started playing with them after we took a group picture.

On October 24, Kenny got to go to PK4 to carve Rory’s class pumpkin. He let Rory choose the design, and he picked a Jack Skellington-like face. He had a great time and the pumpkin came out looking really cool.

Kenny was back with Rory at school two days later for Woodworking with Dads. It was a gorgeous morning, and they had a great time building the same little crate that Riley made when he was in PK4 three years ago.
