Parents’ Night Out

A couple of weeks ago, Bruno Mars came to town. Jeff and Erin bought tickets to his show months ago, and they asked Nola and Nopsi if Kate and Luke could stay the night at their house while they went to the concert. When the date arrived, Nola ended up extending the sleepover invitation to Riley and Rory as well. You know what that meant: Parents’ Night Out!

Kenny and I accepted last minute tickets to see Escape to Margaritaville at the Saenger that night, so it worked out really well all around. We had dinner at Criollo in the Monteleone first and then walked to the theater. The show was really entertaining; you can’t beat a lighthearted story set to and inspired by Jimmy Buffett’s music!

The kids had a blast all being together, having dinner in front of a movie, coloring lots of pictures of pumpkins afterwards, playing in Nola and Nopsi’s bed before bath, and reading books with Nopsi in the dining room fort before bed.

I’m so glad these four get along so well. Thanks for the unexpected night out, Nola and Nopsi! Happy Tuesday!
