Rory is doing so much better with tummy time these days.
It all started when Nopsi put him on his tummy when we were visiting one afternoon a couple of weeks ago.
Then Nopsi laid down facing Rory so he could encourage the little one to lift his head up.
Only that time, Rory didn’t need much encouraging. He lifted his head and chest up higher than he ever had before.
And he stayed that way for longer than he ever had before, smiling and chatting to Nopsi. I was so impressed!
He has continued to do well on his tummy, lifting himself up almost as soon as I lay him down.
And he often seems very happy and content for a decent amount of time, smiling and jabbering away.
And drooling and chewing on his fingers and sometimes spitting up, but that’s beside the point.
It’s the effort that counts.

This kid gets more adorable every day. AND, if you go back and look at Riley's 5-month post, you will see the same mohawk hair pattern in the picture of him sleeping on his belly!
