Nola and Nopsi host a party at their house every Fourth of July, so that’s where Kenny and I were with the two boys most of that afternoon last week.
Aunt E and Uncle Jeff were there, too, and Kate looked so cute in her red, white, and blue outfit.
She fought her mother twice when she tried to put her down for naps and then finally passed out on her daddy’s lap very late in the afternoon. Erin took advantage of her short-lived freedom and spent some quality time with Rory.
And Riley had a blast playing with Colleen’s two kids inside and with Aunt Lizzie outside in the pool. He was pretty much non-stop all afternoon, and he loved every second of it.
We unfortunately didn’t see any fireworks since Riley had had a long day without a nap and I wanted to get him into bed at a somewhat decent hour, but we heard lots of them exploding and lighting up the sky all around our house.
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did…..Happy Birthday, America!
