It’s Carnival time, y’all! Our first parade this season was Caesar on the night of February 7. We went out to our normal spot, only this year we were able to park at Jeff and Erin’s new house and walk down to the parade route.
Jeff brought their Mardi Gras ladder out and the kids loved the view from the seat on top. The boys especially loved when helicopters flew overhead.
Rory wanted down first so he could walk around (his favorite) and Riley eventually got down too because he was cold. Kate stayed up in her seat the whole time. The floats were really pretty and everyone enjoyed the night.
Of course we had to stay until the very end to see Riley’s favorite part: the clean-up crew!
We took the boys out to Centurions on Friday night, along with lots of our friends and their kids. This parade was short and sweet, which was good because it was pretty cold out there. And also because we had a really long day, what with errands in the morning, no naps, and Riley’s school parade that afternoon. (Recap of that coming soon!)
Alas, Mardi Gras 2015 is well underway. I was also lucky enough to go to two parades with friends on Thursday and Saturday while Kenny sweetly stayed home with the boys. Those recaps coming up next!
