June 14: (Me: Which one do you want to do, Buddy: break it or bite it?) Hmmmm, let me think. The deal is……break it or bite it. Well…..um…..you want to break it! Yeah, that’s what you want to do!
June 18: (Me: Hey Riley, you see that yellow crumb on the floor?) Yeah. (Me: Can you pick it up for me, please?) Sure thing, milady!
June 18: You didn’t get the Cheerios, Mama? (Me: Nope.) That’s good. I didn’t want Cheerios.
June 19: You want a tree, Mama! (Me: What do you want a tree for, Buddy?) You want a tree! (Me: I understand you want a tree, but what do you want to do with the tree once you get it?) *pauses* Put it in the backyard! (Me: Oh, okay. What kind of tree do you want?) A merp craytle! You want a merp craytle!
June 20: It’s leopard’s birthday! We have to blow up balloons for leopard’s birthday. Happy Birthday, leopard!
Whew. So glad he’s quotable again.

The child definitely knows his own mind (down to what kind of tree he wants in the backyard! ... too funny, that!) Glad to have his pearls of wisdom back!
