Mr. Independent

Hello, my name is Riley, and today is a special day.
Seems like any other Wednesday to me, but it's actually a holiday.

Today we celebrate the red, the white, and the blue.
Oh, and the stars and stripes; we love them too!

Daddy doesn't have to go to work today,
So the three of us can eat, swim, laugh, and play.

We may even get to see some firework shows,
And I just hope one doesn't go up my nose.

I'm proud to live in the U.S. of A.,
Where independence abounds today and every day.
